European Airplane maker Airbus announced today (June 1, 2005) that the rollout of the new double-decker A380 Airbus will be delayed by at least six months. This could mean that finding really cheap airline tickets will become a lot harder.
Once launched the new super jumbo will become the most widely used plane in the world, with most of the major airlines already having placed orders for the A380 Airbus.
The airbus will be able to seat more than 800 passengers, but airlines plan to only seat 500 to 650.
The delay is expected to trickle down into the pockets of travelers as airlines are forced to reschedule and implement contingency plans to compensate for the delay.
